AccuEye Typical Applications
AccuEye excel in through hole component inspection. Here are some of the applications our customers are utilizing everyday.
Detect whether a part has been inserted. In manual insertion process, it is easy for the operator to miss a component here and there. AccuEye can detect this kind of defect with ease.
Applicable for both manual and automatic insertion. For automatic insertion, the AccuEye can be used to detect any polarity error after operator change the reel of component on the insertion machine.
DIP switch setting is always the last step in the assembly process before the product is shipped to the customers. AccuEye will be able to inspect the DIP switch to make sure that the setting is correct before shipment. The image above shows the wrong DIP switch setting in RED
Similar to the DIP switch setting, AccuEye can inspect the jumper to make sure it is set correctly during the assembly process.
Bend pin and missing pin in the header connector and connector are common quality problem because of manual handling of the PCB. AccuEye can also inspect for bend pin inside an enclosed connector such as DB25 in most cases.
AccuEye can detect incomplete insertion of connector, header pin and other odd form components. The inspection can usually be done from the top side of the PCB. No structured light is required and will not affect the throughput of the machine.
Color Detection AccuEye system can be fitted with either monochrome or color camera. When a color camera is used, customer can use the system to detect the present/absent of a certain color within the field of view.
Screw Present/Absent Determine if a screw, washer or nut has been put in place.
Label Detection Different from OCR. Customer teach the print shape of a label and AccuEye will be able to determine the present/absent of a label based on the print on the label. Also great for detecting print error.
